I have came across a shark hoodie from 2010 I wear a xxl in new bape and the older jacket is an xl , is it true that older bape runs true to size or larger? Thank you

Yes, older bape runs large, by quite a lot in some cases. I have one XL 'frankenstein' shark hoodie that is easily the same size as XXXL today. The chest width is 27" wide and it's an XL.

keep in mind that bape started in the 90s, and back then streetwear was BAGGY, that was the look.
