Stop telling people not to derail its a fcking discussion and it has to do with the topic. You may not be new to bape but you're new to this forum so stop trying to act like you're putting all of the noobs in their place. It's ok to get a little bit offtopic, not the end of the world. Besides you're the one that lead him to asking that question by saying that Nigo and his friend got in a fight making him think "Hmmm I wonder what he is like"
Nope, I didn't say that at all.

Post count and seniority mean nothing to me.

On top of that, I called no one a noob, nor did I suggest it in any way.

I simply want to keep this thread focused on people's opinions about opening a small shop.

Might not be a bad idea. For such a niche item I would say that you could locate your business pretty far outside the city (to drive down rent/real estate costs) and still have a plethora of people willing to make the drive to your store. Simply because there is somewhat of a shortage of classic bapes/nikes/bbc/etc. that are not sold in stores anymore, i believe you could draw quite the crowd. As far as legality goes - It is not illegal to resell used clothes of any brand. Obviously you cant make flyers or signs with the brands names on them, but an advertisement like "designer urbanwear" or something like that would certainly get the point across. If the profit margins are high enough, I'd say go for it. Most of your costs are pretty much liquid too. Assuming you don't get enough business, the real estate and clothing should sell itself on the internet if you are forced to close (Assuming you purchase the land instead of renting).

Just my $.02 , I'm sure there are apposing views out there, just thought the thread was interesting cus im in the process of raising capital for my own business. Whats your sn on PStars? Ever play Absolute?

^^they dont.

I highly doubt they keep the stuff on the floor too. The only reason we know they have bape is word of mouth.

I really dont think you have to worry too much about putting a hoody on a rack because I really dont think BAPE has reps going to every single clothing store in the country to see whos carrying their shit illegally.
thats bullshit. mint in brea has an account with bape to resell there items. all you have to go is go through bape and get an account with them

Eactly. FC isn't "official" at all.

There has, however, been several stores (even one in Italy that had its own tee and camo) that were contracted to resale of BAPE and Milo stuff... all of these besides Mint have been excommunicated.

i would worry about people walking down the street seeing your store and think  another fape store". i mean thats what i would think if i was in baltimore and saw a shop selling bape

There aren't really any stores that sell fake stuff... mostly flea market and corner deals :) (they sell a shit load of Milo denim with the big frown face)

I would come in to make fun of the owner if I thought it was a fape store and then realize that it wasn't :p

Just open the shop and if u get arrested or get slammed with sum sort of lawsuit... just let the rest of us kno. *thumbs up* good luck!!

urban stores always do well no matter the location.

This is completely incorrect. The only shops selling Bape officially are Bape Stores, the other shops are just selling stuff they have bought onwards. What normally happens is these shops have a contact in Japan who buys it for Japan retail and then sell it on at a profit.
