haha i gt a random question how would a Levi 501 (34) fit compare to a RMC (36) ??

and if i cold hand washed the RMC 36 would they shrink to fit so be a closer fit to a 34 waist cos they should shrink 1-2inches rite?? (going by what the Evisu website says)

Random but didnt see a point in starting another thread. Just i want some info on RMC cos i wanna cop some 36 but im a 34 wiv a belt guy. And i got 501s so thought id ask in here for a comparison. lol

It really depends on "how" you wash your jeans.

Washing them in the machine twice a week will fuck the dye right out of the fabric, and will seriously compromise contrast fading.

I can't believe that you would get results as shown in that picture if you machine wash weekly. Not if you machine wash monthly either.

The trick is to avoid agitating the denim when you wash it, so that most of the dye stays in the fabric. Obviously, since most raw denim is overdyed, you will lose some dye even when you wash gently. Machine washing really knocks the clothing around, and passes a lot of water across it, removing lots of dye and fading the entire jean, not just the areas which see stress.

I've seen pictures of year old jeans that were washed weekly just by soaking them in hot water with some dark-fabric detergent mixed in, and they look as fantastic as jeans that have only been washed once.

Personally, I don't see the need for washing raw jeans at all, unless you eat sloppy and spilled food and shit all over them :D. Antibacterial febreeze is amazing, wondrous, incredible.... it's like a grimy substitute for ever washing your pants again (LoL).

no im saying that they will fade whether you wash them or not, it doesn't matter. here is a pair that have been washed bi-weekly and worn everyday.
