I search through the several Denim FAQ's and the Denim Brand FAQ's, and while I may be blind and just have overlooked it, I'm trying to find info on the BBC/Ice Cream denim. I have an issue with most high-end denim as it is too tight on my upper legs. My waist is a 36 and the bottom half of the denim is never an issue, but because of all my years of football and hockey, most designer denim fits WAY too tight on my upper legs. If this is a bad thread, feel free to lock it, but I was curious as to how the BBC/Ice Cream denim fits and/or what brands you guys might recommend ?

Thanks in advance, and sorry for the dumb question

Well it is high-end because BBC is a 'high-end' brand...

you have to be designer or near the top if you sell shirts for 80 and denim for 300

^Not if they know the quality of the denim... lol
^ which I don't. I've been in the shoe game for years, but have not delved into the "high end" denim game yet. Most of my denim is LRG, ECKO, Triumvir, American Eagle, and I got a good deal on a pair of Artful Dodger from Karmaloop at Xmas time. So with that being said, I know NOTHING about denim quality at this point. Basically, I need to find a good quality denim that is loose (hate stiff denim) and somewhat baggy, without looking like I am hiding things in my pant leg. Thanks for the responses so far, and I am always open to new brand ideas. I just liked the design of the BBC stuff, thats why I mentioned it first.

Okay so first, 90% of the guys on here are gonna tell you to go and buy some top end shit like Fenom or NBHD. Not necessary. You can get nice, quality denim for less than $150.

So there are 2 routes down the denim path you can take. Raw, or washed.

Raw: Pros are that you can get a personal fade to your liking and it generally looks better, but the cons are that you need to be good at it for a nice look, and it takes 6 months for a real good fade. Some good raw brands are APC, Sugar Cane, and Imperial. All three are availible for about $125

Now if you want faded jeans (my preference), then you should stick with these brands: higher end Levi's, Nudie$150ish, a cheaper option that I love is Armani denim. It's available for about $60 and some pairs have pretty amzing work done and the quality is great, or if you want to spend a bit more there are some lvl 2 NBHDs for about $250 if you have a bit more of a budget, and if you look around a bit.

Thanks for all the info guys, I really appreciate it.

As far as the brands, I have heard Nudies fit VERY tight ? With Levis, which # Levis should I go with if I'm looking for a slightly looser fit. This has been the main issue with a lot of the denim I have tried, is that it is just too tight on me and feels very uncomfortable.
