hey have pretty much the same stock... If you're going next month you'll probably miss out on quite a few hot items that sell out fast.

im not really fond of them re-release these older pairs 8-9 years later

part of the appeal of the Bapesta was you'll most likely never get that same color again in your life

and honestly for the new price (close to $300) I dont know whos actually gonna buy
I think this IT's attempt to try to get old fans back
At least they are not exact re-releases, the BAPE on the heal is different, and honestly no one give a shit about Bapestas anymore. Resale is dead on all but a few special collaboration pairs. Kinda makes sense to get people back into them, though it likely wont work, especially as you mention new retail on Bapestas is retarded. Would like to see them do some of the classic colorways in non patent though, as I think Patent leather is the reason most people dont rock Bapestas anymore.

I would still rock Bapesta's if they had the old price tag
the new price is horrid
I actually liked the patent at first

but overall you're right regular leather is much better
it doesnt crack and crease

I have some well worn patent Bapes that look horrible

Save
I personally loved patent leather too..

What I would do is use the wearable shoe trees. Sure sometimes my little toe would hurt but that pair would now last multiple times more than if I just didn't use them.

Too bad I guess...

What I found worked was getting the Dr Scholls gel heel cups and flipping those upside down and putting them under the bape insole in the toe area. I have some worn bapes that look brand new after wearing them multiple times doing this. In the end though I didn't care so much about creasing. In my prime I had 20 something pairs of patent bapestas and I would just rotate them enough that they never got too beat. They aren't really an everyday shoe in my opinion, so worn sparingly they are great.

As I get older I would just prefer to have more non patent bapestas as they can be worn more easily when you dont want to be so flashy. The leather Bape uses for non patent shoes is pretty nice, smells great too haha, would just like to see more of it.

Yes those are the ones! The bapestas I was rocking back then may have been .5 sized too big for me, which made it easier to find room for them in the toe area. I kept them in one older pair that I really didn't want creasing, but in the others I just got tired of them and pulled them out. In the end it doesn't matter too much if they get fucked up. I should have worn them more back when they were more accepted and sought after. Kinda hard to pull them off these days.

The non patent roadstas are awesome! The black camo pair is one of few pairs of bapes that I still rock pretty often. Still regret not grabbing the non patent classic red/blue/beige plaid check colorway.
