Can anyone tell me if this is believable? It was picked up in Beijing at what was supposed to be a Fendi party coinciding with the BAPE collaboration, but...

Thanks in advance...

WOW lol i have noooo idea.

Hard to say really as there's not many tags to go by but nice find as it looks sick
The fuck?!
as far as i knew this hoodie never sold. i just thought nigo had one and he's definitely not an XL. unless a couple were made for F&F and this is one of them. i dont think there's any real way of knowing.
Aren't there any other tags in it? If there's also Fendi tags that would be a good way to legit check it..
Wasn't the hoody Nigo had made of leather?

This looks like very cheap material to me.

^^It looks like a windbreaker kind of jacket

And it may have been a less good version released for friends and family while Nigo get's the better 1 of 1 edition.

I've seen some shots of Nigo on Bapetalk (thanks to the guys in the other Bape discussion thread) as well as through search engines. As far as I can tell, there is a double-sided jacket (#1), as well as what looks like (for lack of a better term), a fluffy-hooded hoodie (#2).

I can't find anything anywhere about a purple-lined BAPE x Fendi hoodie; Nigo doesn't style it anywhere, and there isn't a single press release to be found (by me)...

...but then...

I come across this picture on Kourke's profile:

Teriyaki Boyz, comin' through! Haha, the piece seems to exist in concept, but I'm still not sure it's legitimate. The prior individual got it from an acquaintance who attended the release party, and he himself conceded that it wasn't a retail product. It was only handed out to a very limited group for a strict purpose, and it happened into his hands.

Having said that, what do y'all think? Holla!

It's almost impossible to say it's fake or legit but seeing as that it existed is kind of proof....And then again fakers usually go for items that they will sell a lot of and I've seen the hoody you posted ever....Going by that I would say that it's probably legit...

Hope it helps lol I'm going back and forth I know...

EDIT: Look at the cuffs on your jacket and the ones on the Teriyaki Boys....It seems like they have the sleeve cuff is the wrong shade so now I'm kinda doubting yet again...

The fact its a lesser seen item doesn't mean it cant be a fake. If they can make it for $5 and then sell for $5000 as its a Bape x Fendi then its going to be a good one for them to fake.

Add in the fact that its something people wanted but couldn't get then this would also make it an ideal piece to be faked.

Look at the fakes of the Paris Nike's that were sold but stupidly limited and the fakes of the Mo Wax Nike's.

Not the Unkles but the exclusive ones which were designed for James Lavelle and there are only five legit pairs in the world.

In terms of the Cuffs the shade is right as two are lighter and two are darker. How much did you pay for it btw?

^^True I guess.... It is quite hard to say....

I would be doubtful if its one of the TB items as I am sure Nigo wouldn't be too happy about them giving items away or selling them.

Yeah, you're right... haha. The fact that he was Beijing-based seemed all the more dubious to me, too. That's not to pass a judgement, but we know where most of the fakes come from.

The things that trip me, homey, especially looking at the TB photo, is the fact that the two on the right and the two on the left have linings of different colors (purple and tan, respectively); accounting for variability between cameras and light, the purples seem to be too close to call. What makes it even more difficult is that the normal taggage is not present (both my pictures and the TB one).

Someone in another post made the comment that this was merely Nigo's attempt at ego-stroking; looking at how little BAPE seems to be involved across all of the pieces, it kind of looks like that. He pays Fendi an insane amount of money (much like Kanye West and LV, if I remember right), and they allow him to release a micro-collection of items with seemingly little creative freedom.

The fact that it is BAPE (supposedly) is enough for me to be interested... if you have any further thoughts, they are really appreciated, as are anyone else's. Props!

I'm not good with exchange rates, nor do I remember the exact total, but it was approaching $600 USD. The Milo phone strap retailed for $450, so assuming the hoodie's authenticity and rarity, I felt it to be a pretty good deal. ..that's relative, though, homey. $600 is never a good deal! Haha.
