I am not a hater of the Black-Eyed Peas, but that’s not what I heard about BAPES. For the uncool, BAPES or Bathing Apes is the hip sneaker/clothing line that is way too expensive for my budget. Everybody from Lil’ Wayne to Pharrell loves them. Me too, I just can’t pay. Anyway, I heard that the bosses at the company requested that the Black-Eyed Peas NOT wear BAPES clothing! On top of that, I heard, they also asked that Chris Brown to pass on the Bathing Ape as well! How haughty of them! I heard they are seeking a more hardcore clientele like Lil’ Wayne and Jay-Z. I’m as rugged as Pharrell so sign me up!

This thread is ridiculous. There's been soo many threads lately on who shouldn't wear Bape or who has the right to wear it.

I don't think Bape is a "thug brand" I believe it leans more towards an urban/japanese style. It has sort of a hip-hop image to it due to Nigo and its more famous clientele. However, I do not equate hip-hop style to "thugs." And I don't think Bape as a company would ban people from wearing their clothes, it wouldn't really make sense.

However, due to my hatred of Black Eyed Peas I prefer they don't wear Bape lol.
