I live in Rancho Cucamonga and At the Monclaire and San Anita Malls they have fake Swarovski hoodies out displayed on Manikins for 129.99. It irritates me, mainly because it abuses The creativity of the clothing line. My girlfriend and I want to bust them, possible? Maybe some organization that can nail people for selling fake stuff. I think there have been threads about this previously. Anyway, let me know
What, are you in the Hitler Youth or something? Go rat on something worthwhile – like people pirating Photoshop, or downloading Metallica records off the Net. Abusing creativity? That's not possible, since the whole Bape line lacks any creativity, to begin with. The concept behind every single Bape design can be easily categorized as having been lifted from either manga, the Planet of the Apes movies, the Nike AF1, or Louis Vuitton. Nigo should be recognized for his marketing genius – who else could convince so many people to pay premium prices for ugly, average-quality clothing, because it happens to be "limited" – but as far as fashion goes, his garments are the laughing stock of 98% of the clothes-wearing world. Abuse of creativity? Nigo should be flattered that people even want to imitate his "style". I have no problem with fapes, so long as they're being sold openly and transparently as such; people have a right to know what they're buying. But ask yourself which is the worse crime – selling a cheap screen-printed cotton hoody for $300 – or selling an identical copy made with the same materials, and of the same or greater quality, for $75? Which one is the real rip-off?
