How should I size (converse or redwing for comparison please) 09 S/S FBT Lattice and is $432 rape?

Is visvim durable, or is it more of a luxury brand? I need shoes I can wear almost everyday that will last for more than a year. If I'm going to drop this much, I want them to be good. Thanks all.

the only part of visvims that isnt durable are the soles. It is sort of a luxury brand but you can find FBT lattice >300$
